Bonnie AckerBONNIE ACKER is a visual artist and community activist who has lived in Burlington, Vermont since 1986.  Her drawings and cut-paper images have illustrated a number of books, including Champlain’s Lake Rediscovered, The Community Land Trust Handbook, and The Community Land Trust Reader.  Four Vermont galleries carry her landscape paintings: Furchgott Sourdiffe Gallery, Green Mountain Fine Art Gallery, Parade Gallery, and the Woodstock Gallery.  Since 1994, she has served on the board of the Intervale Community Farm Cooperative and has spent the last ten years working with the Burlington School Food Project, sharing food, art, and gardening adventures with students in the public schools.
